Happy Halloween 2012

GaGa got a round trip ticket so she came to visit for Halloween. I had to work in the morning but when I got home we went to a local Church and went Trunk or Treating. It was so much fun they had bounce houses, music, a petting zoo and lots and lots and lots of candy. Ashley loved the idea of waling up and getting candy from people. She was a little Candy Corn Witch. When we got home we went around the neighborhood to see all the decorations and she had fun going up with the big kids.

Great Grandma Visit 10/2012

At the end of October we took a trip up to Pennsylvania to visit Ashley’s Great Grandmother. Grammy & PaPa had it all planned perfect. We flew in and Mom & Dad picked us up and we took a ride out to Lancaster to have dinner with Great Grandma. Ashley seems to be having some motion sickness issues so we had an unexpected stop along the way. Once we got back on track we were fine in short distance rides. We had a lovely dinner and spent the night in Lancaster. The next day we took the Strasburg Railroad in Amish country. It was fun. Ashley even got to give the Conductor the tickets. (She has a cute leapfrog train that counts and days tickets please. She thought this was great). We went back to Great Grandma’s went swimming and then had a nice dinner. After dinner we drove out to Aunt Geri and Uncle Richard’s home which is on a farm. We had a couple nice days here spending time with our cousins. Ashley loved playing with her cousin Natalie.  Ashley also made a new friend in Cassie an 8 month old Australian Sheppard. We had a nice family dinner and then spent once last night in Philadelphia. Mark got to see his long time friends Billy & Jeff. It was a great trip!!!!!

 

Elmo Live at Performing Arts Center

In October Elmo came to town. Ashley, Mommy and Dada had a nice night out!!! Ashley had a lot of fun. Zoey came out into the audience and played with Ashley.

Disney On Ice 2012

We took Ashley to Disney On Ice. She REALLY loved it. She was so taken in by the music, lights and the story lines. It was so much fun to watch her.

GaGa's Visit in July 2012

GaGa Came to visit in July. It was fun just hanging out. Dada was supposed to go to Georgia but he stayed home and we all got to spend some quality time together.

My First Movie

Finding Nemo 3D came out in theaters. I figured this would be a great 1st movie for Ashley to watch. She had a great time. She sat through the whole thing and enjoyed her movie snacks.

Visitors from Germany

We were so happy that we got to see Matt and Lugia . Matt only gets one trip a year so we were so excited to see him for a couple of days. He has a great girlfriend... Lugia. She is so freindly and very easy to talk to. I felt like I have know her for years. This was also the first time Ashley got to meet Matt (AKA ...Uncle Matty). It was so nice they brought a Barbie Jeep for her. She loves it... Although I had to laugh.. she pulled Barbie and Ken out and when she put them back in the car Barbie was driving. This was very thoughtful.

We had a nice time with them for a quick 24 hr visit. We went to the beach so Lugia could see the Atlantic, then to City Place to BB Kings and then to a Movie. In the morning we went to Sailfish Marina. They also got to feel the effects of Tropical Storm Isaac.

Sea World Trip August 2012

SEA WORLD…..

We had another first… A trip to Seaworld and a couple of nights in a hotel. We meet up with Aunt Loretta and my BFF Emmie. We stayed in the Downtown Disney area and went there both nights.  We went to the TREX restaurant and I got to build – a – dino. Ashley  has  new friend named  Aqua-saurous. Silly name but it was the best we could come up with. Ashley loved eating the dessert and playing on the computer while we created Aqua’s birth certificate. We went to Sea world for 2 days. It was HOT but the girls had fun. We went to all the shows, we feed the dolphins and we had a lot of fun just running around and playing. The hotel experience was a little challenging. Emmie has always slept in bed with Loretta and Randy so she is used to beds. I tried to have her lay in the bed (not happening) I brought the pack and play. She was not having it to be in a pack and play while her friend was in a bed. Mommy had to stay up and rock Ashley until 2 AM. The second night went a little better. It was great getting away with the girls and I think it was a great success. Naps were fine and timing for eating and the flow of the days were perfect. We are planning another trip soon since I have the annual pass now.

NC 2012 July Trip

We have a busy couple of months scheduled. Our first BIG trip was to go visit Grammy and PaPa in North Carolina. We flew up and Ashley did very well on the plane. She loved to look at people, smile and play with  playing with the window and seat trays.

Ashley was happy to see Grammy & PaPa. She just loves them so much. She had fun at the beach with Grammy in the water and she just loved playing with PaPa at the house. Everything she played with she had to give it to him.

 We were so excited that Aunt Leslie, Uncle Rick and all of Ashley's cousin (Katie, Ryan and Kyle) where there to play with. We spent a lot of time at the beach and pool. We had fun playing .

 Ashley even got to ride a bike and use her new bicycle helmet.

 It was sooooooo much fun. We can not wait to do it again next year
