No more helmet..

On February 9th Ashley had her last appointment for her helmet. She is now helmet free. Her head was measured at 92% of growth. Our target was 90% and the measurement from left to right and right to left matched 100%. It was pretty easy. I was so torn up that we had to put a helmet on this beautiful angel. I was more concerned on taking her out and getting the sympathy looks. It was no problem at all. Ashley's smile was so cute when people approached and I feel like I had the opportunity to educate people about Tortocollis and the use of the cranial band.

I took this picture when I was at my moms. She has an activity bouncer for her and I took this random shot which shows how perfect the left side of her head is shaped. This side was completely pushed flat.

Check out that beautiful round head.

Fashion.....

I just love this picture of Ashley and had to post it....

Babygirl Mohawk

She's gonna love me for this one..... Babygirl Mohawk....

Playing in her crib..... Too Cute...

We had a few first this week.......

Ashley has started to pull up on the furniture. I can see this getting interesting.

We upgraded Ashley to her BIG Girl car seat. She has exceeded the 30" maximum from he carrier car seat. We had to make some adjustments.

Ohhhhh Nooooo what do we do with her if we go out to dinner???? What do we do with her when we go to the grocery store..... Well we figured that out and Ashley loves being in the big girl highchair and sitting up in the cart watching everything going on around her in the store. She especially loved the Valentine's Day stuffed animal isle.

8 Months Old...

Where has the time gone?????

She is just growing up way too fast. She is babbling all the time. She loves rolling, scooting and sitting up playing with her toys.

She will stand for a couple of minutes while she holds on to something.

She had her first flu shot last month. She did so well.

We are finished with all therapy and our helmet comes off on Valentines Day....... 3 months of 23 hours a day wearing this device has sure been easy for the most part. She has been so great with it. I think I am going to be more concerned when it is off. It is a great protector for a little one starting to move around. I always hear her hit the side of he crib or roll onto a toy and I don't worry too much because I know she is protected.

Here are her 8 months pictures... I will re post when they arrive. They are too cute to wait so please excuse the watermarks on them.
